Vir Umesh Arora : He is working since 2011 for promotion of life saving cause of blood donation and Live Platelets & granulocytes donation.
He joined Mahavir International, Faridabad as a Coordinator for Blood Services in 2014. On 17th Sept 2017, he Initiated project Roko Thalassemia which later became the National Project of Mahavir International.
During COVID-19, he worked as a Covid Monitoring committee member with Faridabad Administration.
When Haryana govt Inaugurated Covid plasma Banks, he was appointed as a District Coordinator by administration.
His Mission is to ensure that safe blood is available to those in need. He wants to Improve quality of life of thalassemia major patients, Supporting Sickle Cell & Cancer Patients by adopting them for their Platelets Needs.
He has been awarded by Governor of Haryana Shri Kaptan Singh Solanki in 2014, Smt. Geeta Bhukkal, Education Minister Haryana in 2013,
National Achievers Award by Sashakt Nari Parishad, Gurgaon, Shri Sai Sandesh Sansthan, Faridabad, Foundation Against Thalassemia in 2011, 12, 13, 14, 15, District red Cross Society, Faridabad, Gurgaon and Corona Warrior award by District Administration.

About The Project

Thalassemia is all about healthy youngsters. Thalassemia is an inherited Genetic blood disorder in which patient cannot make enough red blood cells and he/she needs blood transfusion every 2-3 weeks.
There is nothing wrong with being a Thalassemia Minor but there is everything wrong in not knowing that you are a Thalassemia Minor. 50 million (5 crore) people of India (4% of total population)Cyprus, Spain & Italy are the countries who have fully eradicated thalassemia from them.
